# kldload atapicam # chmod 666 /dev/pass0 /dev/xpt0 /dev/cd0 > k3b Is what I generally use and it works for me. After you run 'kldload..' check the dmesg output immediatly. You shoud be able to see some 'cd0' or 'cd*'.
