This has become so what canonized however... there is no problem in running your chosen shell. If you boot single user it will ask you for a shell to use. Just use /bin/sh if the volume containing your chosen shell isn't mounted.

Take appropriate steps to configure your login scripts accordingly if they are doing anything important that is dependent on the shell.
