That depends how much your file system change. If every ficle change
befor the incremental run, dump 1 will be equal to dump 2, and 2x will
be enough for just dump0 and dump 1.

There is no rule.

How would one go about gauging their system for the number of file system changes to determine a suitable amount of backup space?
