You said earlier that your sendmail was compiled with tcp wrapper support. How exactly did you go about doing this and installing it? In any case, since your not going to be using sendmail much, if your that paranoid I would suggest you simply disable it and run it out of inetd. Then use the usual tcpd method (in the man page) to run inetd.
