I'm not too sure, what you are trying to do here. If you want to run a program or an entire desktop on one computer and have the display on another computer, that isn't all that difficult. Look at this text: http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Remote-X-Apps.html Unlike the others in this thread, I recommend the use Xming as the Server. Cygwin is not really being maintained anymore.
