Doy you have a pre-determined budget for this "homework"? have a look at california amplifiers -> calamp.com if I remember correctly.
amplifiers are kind of "idiot" solution. it just make more mess for others.
DO NOT use them unless you REALLY have to == the best antennas are not enough.
