From the earlier mails with the author and reading the new license, which is LGPL with, in legal terms, vaguely defined exceptions, we as the FreeBSD project have to err on the safe side and not add this software again unless the author explicitly and publicly retracts his earlier legal threats. This is not a case common sense but of legal terms, and given the fluffy formulation of the license, even in it's new form, it is unacceptable to be included in the ports tree.
