Personally, I don't think this practise of labelling partitions with names like var makes any sense. fstab exists to keep track of what devices map to which mount points, the point of glabel is to give those devices unique names that are independent of where and when they are detected. I think people get the idea that if they use labels like var they'll never need to edit fstab again.
