-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I have been trying to setup DHCPV6 between two systems. I have my gateway, with a correctly assigned prefix from my ISP, and a client who has ipv6 enabled, and dhcp6c installed. When i activate the dhcpd, it starts correctly but when i try to gain a lease from my client, it recieves the solicit message, but does not appear to send a response. Here is my dhcpd config option domain-name "chocolate.lan"; option domain-search "chocolate.lan","dhcp.chocolate.lan","concrete.lan"; option domain-name-servers nemo.chocolate.lan; option dhcp-server-identifier nemo.chocolate.lan; default-lease-time 129600; max-lease-time 1296000; authoritative; subnet6 fe80:1::216:e6ff:fe7f:972e/128 { range6 2001:44b8:7988:c60::10 2001:44b8:7988:c60::110; prefix6 2001:44b8:7988:c60:: 2001:44b8:7988:c60:: /64; host mai { host-identifier option dhcp6.client-id 00:01:00:01:14:0b:f3:79:64:b9:e8:b7:b4:6a; fixed-address6 2001:44b8:7988:c60::9; } } So my questions are thus What have i missed or done wrong to prevent replies being sent to the client, and have i done anything wrong with this dhcpd config? Documentation about this subject is also rather sparse, especially about errors and configurations.
