PS: rsyslog can use standard syslog.conf entries, or it has extensions that enable more cool stuff.

(rsyslog? syslog-ng? or default?) I have some boxes (about 40) that I was tasked with creating a centralized logging infrastructure for. I see in ports that we have several different versions of rsyslog, and syslog-ng. Is there any reason to use one or the other? Or should I just use the syslog that come with the base OS? thanks, Alex _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"

"This email is intended to be reviewed by only the intended recipient and may contain information that is privileged and/or confidential.
