Hello,

I'm facing a very strange problem on a machine: When I unzip a file (I'm
100% sure the file is not corrupted) and I get the following:

The system is running 8.2-RC1 (amd64). I had the same problem under
8.1-RELEASE (I thought it was a bug in the Ethernet driver, so I
upgraded to 8.2-RC1)

The card is:
a...@pci0:2:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x82261043 chip=0x10481969 rev=0xb0
hdr=0x00
vendor = 'Attansic (Now owned by Atheros)'
device = 'Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base-T Controller (Atheros L1)'
class = network
subclass = ethernet

Any idea what could be the problem ?

Thanks,
Julien

OK, I dug a bit and found the problem ...

I have 4 memory slots on the motherboard : D C  B A
When I put a memory stick in A _or_ C it works
When I put memory sticks in A _and_ C it works too
However, when I put memory sticks in A _and_ B or A _and_ B _and_ C it fails ... (dual channel)

Could it be a bug... or a broken Bios ?
