Hi Chris, The config.log file should provide some clues, and from time to time, I have seen spurious problems occur in the configure phase during port building. It can be caused by a number of things, and the config.log file should provide clues. For instance, this looks suspect: > checking for /usr/local/bin/python2.6 script directory...${prefix}/lib/python2.6/site-packages > checking for /usr/local/bin/python2.6 extension module directory...${exec_prefix}/lib/python2.6/site-packages I'm not 100% sure, but I would expect ${prefix} and ${exec_prefix} to be replaced with /usr/local in each of those messages. That might indicate a misconfiguration in your build system or an error in the port.
