Which is easier depends on
a) how many total ports
b) how many you want to remove
c) whether you know exactly which ones need to go
If if youy don't know the answer to (c), then it's probably
easiest to scrub everything and start over.
If you do, and (b) is a large number, ditto.
Otherwise: make a list, go to /var/db/pkg, and run
pkg_deinstall on each port.
