Don't do that: the OPTIONS stuff is commented out for a reason. Using: # make -DWITH_MYSQL is the correct thing to do. However, you should make sure that you aren't stumbling over the remains of previous compilation sessions. First run: # make clean then run # make -DWITH_MYSQL and you should certainly see mysql mentioned during the configuration and compilation steps.
