If you're looking to start understanding the FreeBSD codebase, probably the best thing for you to do is buy and read _The_Design_and_Implementation_ _of_FreeBSD_. I just finished reading it's predecessor, _The_Design_and_Implementation_of_ _the_4.4bsd_Operating_System_, and it's cleared up a LOT of my misunderstandings on how the Unix kernel works ... I can only assume that the newer one will be even better. -- Bill Moran Potential Technologies http://www.potentialtech.com _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
