XFS for FreeBSD

I've been able to locate some postings that suggested there was an 
effort to get SGI's XFS ported to FreeBSD -- along with some concerns 
about licensing (GPL) issues.

I'd like to get more information - is there an official project, who's 
heading it up, etc. etc.
