It depends entirely on what you are used to, both are good at what they do, both are easily scriptable, both are well documented, and both are widely used. The only drawback I have found with tcsh is the fact that if you install new software in your $PATH, then you need to type 'rehash' to let tcsh see it. However this being said, I should point out that tcsh is part of the base system on FreeBSD whereas bash is a port and must be installed separately. In short, play with both and make up your own mind.
