Hey, Kris!

do they gotta freebsd-foundation-questions list? 'Cause I wanna get me a subscription!

I said yesterday that I had been using FreeBSD since 3.4, but I misspoke. Actually it has been since 3.1. Turns out I hadda dig out those disks just today, and lo and behold! It was 3.1! It was probably the same year, though.

Man! What progress since then!

I wonder why it is that all of the FreeBSD core team are not also on the board of directors? Or did I misunderstand that? Do you mean that not all of the core team are on the board?? Or not all of the board members are part of the core team? I guess that'd have to be a pretty big meeting room, for sure, if everyone who contributed was on the board!!! NO WONDER they can't get a press release out! Too many people trying to decide what color to paint the bike shed!

Anyway, if you know how to get in touch with the freebsd foundation (other than via PayPal) please let me know. I'd just love to send them my thanks and congratulations.

lol, about the board member bike shed. anyway...
What he meant to say was that not all are part of the (current) core team....

"The activities of the FreeBSD Foundation are directed by members of its Board of Directors.

He has been a member of the FreeBSD Core Team since 2000. His day job is Research Scientist and DARPA Principal Investigator at Network Associates Laboratories, the Security Research Division of Network Associates, Inc.

Jonathan M. Bresler, Vice President.
Jonathan joined the FreeBSD Development Team in 1993, and served on the Core Team from 1995-2000. He has been the FreeBSD Project's postmaster since 1994.

Justin T. Gibbs, Secretary and Treasurer.
Justin has been a member of the FreeBSD Development Team since 1993. He served on the Core Team from 1995-2000. Justin has contributed to many areas of the FreeBSD operating system, and is best known for his work on the SCSI subsystem."
