Yes, it could be made about a thousand times more obvious. It should be right on the first page of the site, not buried in the documentation. And it is still a bit worrisome, because it says "When working with large amounts of code, the touchy subject of copyrights also invariably comes up." Unfortunately, copyright applies to small amounts of code, too, not just large amounts.
