nmbclusters question

[MacConnect Home Office]

In theory, if my nmbclusters setting was too low, and traffic on my 
machine made nmbclusters hit its ceiling, could my machine go "deaf" to 
network connections without logging any errors in the log files?

I'm running FreeBSD 4.3.
