If your filesystems are listed in /etc/fstab, then mount -a will mount the rest of them that are normally mounted at boot. This step is listed in the rebuilding world part of the handbook too: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/handbook/makeworld.html#CANONICAL-BUILD Kenyon
