It's hard to say what is different on your system, but it looks like the -fformat-extensions flag is somehow not being used for building your kernel. If you can't figure out what causes this, you can try to work around it by setting WITHOUT_FORMAT_EXTENSIONS, or setting WERROR to empty. -Dimitry
