The subject said it: I've got a brand new ATAPI DVD-RW. In my kernel, there is ATAPICAM. I can see it with camcontrol, but, cannot see it in cdrecord -scanbus. ????

(The configuration:
IDE-0: 2 disks
IDE-1: master, the problematic DVD-RW Samsung TS-H552B, with the latest firmware
Adaptec-2940U: 2 disks and a Yamaha CD-writer - but I think, it doesn't matter)

I can write to it with growisofs as /dev/cd1, but cannot write it with cdrecord/cdrdao, and cannot reach is with cdparanoia, etc.

Can somebody help me to find the reason of this special error?

Zahy < Gabor at Zahemszky dot HU >

PS: cvsup of RELENG-5 from yesterday (cdrecord recompiled). By the way, I could burn CD with cdrecord on it in the last 3 weeks, with some older RELENG-5 (and with an older firmware).
