From a production machine here: (hd0) /dev/zvol/storage/vm/66d99c52-9be0-434e-935e-7c7105952308/disk-0_1_0 (hd1) /dev/zvol/storage/vm/66d99c52-9be0-434e-935e-7c7105952308/disk-0_5_0 (cd0) /storage/images/debian-10.5.0-amd64-xfce-CD-1.iso hd0 is the boot device. hd1 is a larger disk image used to hold a database. cd0 is the installation media (and kept there in case we need to do some sort of rescue boot). -- Mark Raynsford | https://www.io7m.com
