Summary: TRANS comments for disambiguation of English noun "vote" Project: Freeciv Submitted by: jtn Submitted on: Wednesday 24/02/10 at 01:44 Category: None Severity: 2 - Minor Priority: 5 - Normal Status: Ready For Test Assigned to: None Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Release: Discussion Lock: Any Operating System: None Planned Release: _______________________________________________________ Details: Vadim Mikhnevych notes on -i18n that the English noun "vote" has two meanings: a "vote" as a process or formalised choice ("the council held a vote"), and a "vote" as an instance of voting ("the mayor cast her vote"). The attached patch adds some TRANS: comments to disambiguate where which is meant isn't clear from context. (In most cases it's the former.) _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wednesday 24/02/10 at 01:44 Name: S2_2-vote-trans-comments.diff Size: 9kB By: jtn S2_2 r16912: TRANS comments about the word "vote" <http://gna.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=8245> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://gna.org/bugs/?15467> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Gna! http://gna.org/ _______________________________________________ Freeciv-dev mailing list Freeciv-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-dev
