Welcome back! > Many things changed here, last time I translated Freeciv was in 2003, > and I'm still reading all the stuff to refresh everything. > > There's a deadline programmed or somethings I have to know before > starting to translate? 2.2.0 has just been released (it was in preparation as you posted this). I think it's best to aim for 2.2.1. We made rather a lot of string changes just before 2.2.0 (sorry), so many languages still need to catch up. 2.2.1 should hopefully have much better translations. There's no fixed schedule for 2.2.1 yet as far as I know, although I don't think it will be that soon due to maintainer commitments. We will be keeping string changes to a minimum, so it should be a stable target. However, there will be a few string changes (if nothing else, we've discovered some strings that weren't marked for translation at all in 2.2.0). (Devs: this suggests we should get any string changes we want in 2.2.1 onto S2_2 as soon as possible, I think, and update po-files or whatever, so that translators have as much time as possible before 2.2.1. I think most string changes will be my fault again so I suspect I should do this. I don't know how to do the po-file thing, but I guess I can work it out.) _______________________________________________ Freeciv-i18n mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-i18n
