The intent is that raw materials should always be reasonably available from the natives, but they have few manufactured goods, thus maximizing the opportunity to trade profitably. Food is a bit trickier --- we want a lot on hard difficulties and less on easy ones, and thus far that is mainly regulated by the tile production variations. However, we have complaints in both directions --- too many and too few natives, so I am not particularly concerned here. BTW, thanks for the work on BR#2580. I am glad to see that fixed before the release. Speaking of which, play testing time has been somewhat limited, but now we have a long weekend so I hope to track down a couple of remaining things I wanted to check.
