As moderator
and rabid organization structuretarian, I offer the following
advice:
Probably the
best way to go about organizing this information is to post different messages
about each topic with a subject title that sets it apart from the other
ideas.
This gives other participants the ability
to stay on track and involved in one scheme and keep clear of the others. It
will be up to you, Dana in this case, to manage your separate ideas as
separate conversational threads.
One of the best ways to visualize how I see
this working is to view the web mirror of this list at
http://www.mail-archive.com/freedom-edu%40lists.colorado.edu/
Each topic, as defined by subject is
cascaded below the main message. If one of the participants of one of the
sub-threads breaks off into a new subject area � THEN IT IS UP TO THEM TO
CHANGE THE SUBJECT.
I am shouting because the lists that you
all have been on before were un-threaded, and know one knew that this was a
possibility. Therefore it was very messy. I beg of you, that if you are having
a conversation about the economy and it changes to military spending, then it
is time to change the subject line.
In any case, back on topic myself, the best
way to keep all of these ideas straight and separate is to post them as
separate points, and let others respond in
kind.
