Very true. The blog seemed fairly high level and more status related.

Second, I just read Phantom's license.  That was quite a chore, given

Ewww. That can be a real barrier to adoption. I'll have to read the license and see what I think about it.

Phantom's author claims not to be knowledgeable about licensing.  If
FreedomBox wants to use Phantom and wants to see it packaged for Debian,
maybe Phantom's author can be convinced to use a more mainstream DFSG
license.

I think I'll ping him/them about licensing. I'll probably have other questions as well once I start testing out phanthom.
