There are at least two arguments beyond general handiness for ntp on the Box. One is that it may help some clients if the Box can give a time reference; they can then update their clocks without revealing themselves. More important, if you need to debug a communication protocol exchange by looking at logs on two machines then it is much easier if the clocks are at least roughly synchronised so timestamps in logs can be compared without fuss.
