Or maybe I won't. That marvel of DOS extender technlogy called DOS/4GW will throw all XMS allocations to the winds if it detects more than 3 free pages of EMS available and go with a pure VCPI allocation scheme. Which, if you have even 5 EMS pages free, means that DOS/4GW then immediately fails due to being out of memory.
