Well, it's an interesting way to make my daily ftp download counts go from 5-30 up to
150-300. Fortunately, the file sizes are small enough it doesn't matter unless it
jumps by more than another order of magnitude, which I don't see happening.

The new release EMM386 is significant enough that it should show as an update to the
original you've listed on the FreeDOS page, if you would. Two related questions now
arise, likely of interest to others as well.

I anticipate there may be one, possibly two, more test releases before everyone is
generally happy enough with stability and compatibility for an official release to be
called in. Question one: how do you want or plan to handle an update chain of new
test or non-final releases on announced software? Is there a main page announcement
difference between a major and minor update, or a maximum number of updates to be
chained in a main page post, or do you plan to keep the original test release
announcement and only show the last update in the post chain associated with it? By
update chain, I mean the update#1, update#2, post in same paragraph as initial
announcement on the freedos.org main page sort of thing.

Secondly, assume, as with EMM386, that a software test release has progressed to the
point where it needs maximum exposure and testing. Rather then limiting announcements
to the original developer list, does the freedos-user mail list have enough other
subscribers that aren't present on 'devel' to post an announcement there as a
cross-post? Or should anybody be cross-posting anything to the mail lists other than
system announcements? Is everyone who is subscribed to 'devel' also on 'user' for the
most part, so you can safely post to 'user' alone and assume you still get the
potentially more advanced 'devel' subscribers reading your announcement?
