Hi Jim, > Since you mentioned tassilo's hosting offer: why did *you* promise > that *I* would pay for the server hosting? Several times, I asked
I never did promise that. > you to cc me on your conversations with tassilo on this topic, but > you chose to keep me out of the loop. Now I find out that you Tassilo chose not to CC in a few mails even though I did tell him about your wish / did refer him to you about some further details. It would have made little sense to forward our German mails to you afterwards either ;-). There were no bad intentions involved here. > volunteered that Jim would "donate" $$ for the hosting. I'm very > uncomfortable with that. There is a misunderstanding here. While it is unfortunate that the "we want to CC Jim" did not happen as soon as you and I would have wanted, I never said you would pay for hosting. I only said that you had offered Sourceforge to pay a bit for the conversion of our Bugzilla data to Sourceforge trackers. I also asked Tassilo if he wants to be paid for the hosting, but this was NOT meant to imply that you would be the one to pay... If Tassilo believed this would be the case, he misunderstood me. Actually if there was some pay involved, it would me more likely me than you to pay Tassilo, as he has helped me for free with other things before, and I thought it would be nice if I occasionally actually pay him for his help. Anyway, let us not get distracted from the main goal here, upgrade or replace our bugzilla :-). Sorry for any confusion related to this. Let us try to CC everybody about this more often to avoid future confusion :-).
