Hi all,

Fairly often we get asked, whats new. This is usually difficult to answer
because it is usually a lot of smaller things. There are updates to the
installer, changes to the media, additions and removals of utilities, package
updates and more. To help answer this “what’s new” question, I added a new
project on gitlab in the FreeDOS archive under
https://gitlab.com/FreeDOS/OS/misc <https://gitlab.com/FreeDOS/OS/misc> that
contains a Changes.log file. By no means will this log contain everything.
However, it will attempt to provide a 50,000 foot view (birds-eye-view) of many
of the bigger changes and most updates. Going forward, I will try to remember
to keep this file up to date. If you were to take a peek at the file now, you
would see that almost a dozen such entries have already occurred since the
release of FreeDOS 1.3 roughly a month ago.

:-)

Jerome

(PS, The 50,000 foot view idiom is a ridiculous phrase. Birds don’t fly that
high. 50,000ft is actually higher than most commercial air traffic.)
