And no, I would likely not use it. The mailing list posts come in automatically to my mailbox, nicely filtered, even when I am not on my main computer. I can read and answer if necessary when ever I have time. A web forum requires to have the time to actively log in and see what is new. Time which I might not have.

That's why I prefer to have the mailing lists. It just seems that less and less people these days know how to properly handle emails, apparently don't even know anymore how to send an email to a mailing list instead of doing full quote replies on digest or unrelated topic threads. Using a web browser to deal with email is one of the fallacies these days, instead of using a proper email client, which also would be able to properly show threads and not only email in chronological order of being send...
