It’s fairly painless. We just need to decide a couple minor things first. Do we want the ”Documentation” stuff to be a single project? Or, a group with subprojects? I think a single project called “Documentation” that would have the url of https://gitlab.com/freedos/docs would be best. It would definitely be the easiest to clone and pull any changes for display on the FreeDOS website. As for that projects structure, we need consider the sub-directories Jim mentioned. But also, what about translations into other languages? > > I think only Jerome has the permissions to create the repository under the > Gitlab FreeDOS organisation. As such, he can make any modifications to the repository he needs. I think that even includes booting me out of there if he wanted. > For simplicity I suggest that we will push directly to this repo instead of > everyone forking it and creating somewhat labour intensive merge requests. Not a problem. GitLabs permission permit adding users to a sub-project as maintainers and developers. Each of those types have their own level of privileges. > > For some packages, there is an unstable branch. I recommend to also use this > for checking in documentation. There is also the ability to directly view the HTML conversions through GitLab pages. However, I think that would just confuse end users. So, better for viewing the end result pages on the FreeDOS site and release media. > > For the start I would like to write some guides how to cross-compile to the > DOS target from different operating systems and compilers.
