For which hardware and for which DOS is that tool?
PC/XT/AT
and 5.0+
So you do NOT plan to use it on some emulator
and you have not tested it with other DOS 5.0
and newer brands yet, such as MS or PC or DR?

it works on 16bit pc compatibles!
Well if you have no 386 or newer CPU, then you
indeed can not use EMM386 to create UMB. But
then you also need to already have memory in
the areas where you want to use UMB, which is
NOT usually the case for PC or XT.
For AT, you will typically have to have a driver
which tells the chipset of your mainboard that
you want to enable memory in the area where you
want UMB and the driver has to understand the
exact chipset of your mainboard. Of course you
also have chipsets which can not do this at all.
