I've created now an .vmdk file where you can see the bug happening. Uncompressed it is ~14 MB and rar compressed it is ~3 MB, good size for uploading it at some free filehoster. That's the best size and format I can currently offer.
Is VirtualBox ok for you? In VirtualBox it happens the same thing like in VMware and VirtualBox added support for the .vmdk format with the latest stable release. Eric Auer schrieb: > Hi! A disadvantage is, if you create a 8 GB big file which is mostly empty then you can not shrink that file if it was filled at some point. > You can of course use Dosemu images, too ;-). I still say: I don't know a way to create an .img (Bochs compatible) raw image.... Starting situation: I have a 8 GB big harddisk, only ~5 MB are used, rest is free. Thanks! Well, the original thread was '[Freedos-user] computer restarting without error message', in first post I described how to do so in detail. It stopped with no results and I think we will get the same result if we discuss it again.
