My experience is that 4DOS works with FreeDOS kernal except for the command line history.

Sometimes, quite often, the command on the line when using the history is not the one that gets excuted, rather the one prior to it. I've only had this happen with the FreeDOS kernel. And it can can make a real mess of things when the wrong command gets excecuted.

I'm curious if anyone has had the same experience??

Never seen this, and I've worked with it under FreeDOS for about an year. Which kernel and 4DOS builds do you mean? Do you have UMBHistory=YES? I do. Do you log the history into a file? I don't.
