As everybody probably knows by now, EMM386 works with the 386-optimized freedos kernel. I am currently using it with kwc38616 build of 20 September. Stability with Lynx also improved . It seems that in this respect the classification of EMM386 shall now be "useable". A problem that appeared with version 2.05 worsened with 2.06: Arkady's MEM with option /e does not report EMS, but instead MEM: error: EMM call 41h In addition, version 2.06 crashes FreeDOS. Versions 2.00 to 2.04 did work. Regards JAS
