I downloaded and installed the enhanced FreeDOS beta9sr2 and tried to install Windows for Workgroups. Well, I switched to only himem (no emm386) and install completed sucessfully. Then i restarted and loaded in the changes for WfW in
fdconfig.sys and autoexec.bat (namely, using HIMEM.SYS and EMM386 from Windows instead. And i replaced the mouse driver (not compatible with Windows) with a version from MSDOS 6.22. After doing all this, loading Windows makes it say that it is an unsupported version of ms-dos and it hangs the computer.... I did NOT install networking, i usually do that last....
Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
