Hi, you can try the combined SATA / ATAPI CD / DVD driver
(even with built-in harddisk cache and UDMA) from Jack:
http://johnson.tmfc.net/dos/driver.html

Basically you load UIDE, after any XMS driver (HIMEMX or
the older HIMEM or FDXXMS) to access the drive and then
load SHSUCDX or the older MS variant MSCDEX to also get
a drive letter for it. So UIDE replaces GCDROM / XCDROM.

No CD-ROM drive to use; GCDROM not loaded.

Any idea.

Note : After booting with freedos bootable cd, I can access to the cd-rom
drive( elterito is loaded in memory ).

Could you try the UIDE cd-rom driver please? it's the most recent work of the
same driver author, Jack R Ellis.
http://johnson.tmfc.net/dos/driver.html
http://johnson.tmfc.net/dos/file/drivers.zip (file uide.sys inside)

be sure to read the readme file :)

thanks for having let us know about a problem where your normal cd driver can't
find the drive but the eltorito one actually can :)
