I created a bootable usb stick using syslinux and then copied the files 
over changing iso* to sys* .

F8 just loads some test for me, it stays at the "boot:" prompt.

This version worked for me. Thanks!

The only problem was it could not detect the usb stick drive. But it 
does so fine on another machine. This is not a big problem as I can load 
files into the fdboot.img .
