Hello Eric, I edit autoexec.nt with Windows Notepad and insert this line at the very top: SET CLIPPER=F99
I edit config.nt with Windows Notepad as well and insert this at the very top too: FILES=99 Both .nt files are located in C:\Windows\System32 if I am not mistaken. Once I edit them, I no longer get DOS ERROR 4. "What does a DOS error 4 mean? A DOS error 4 comes from your hardware-level settings. Not enough file handles have been set for your PC to use, either on its own or when working with the file server." source: http://www.dataworld.co.uk/faq.htm Thank you! -- View this message in context: http://freedos.10956.n7.nabble.com/Help-with-installing-FreeDOS-on-second-partition-tp23105p23187.html Sent from the FreeDOS - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Freedos-user mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
