You do not have to purchase actual hardware to run FreeDOS. Eric was
using quotes around the word, so "hardware" means "virtual machine" or
"PC emulator" like VirtualBox or DOSEMU or QEMU or whatever.

the same too. Freedos works with new hardware or virtual machine without
problems.
Try these situations that fail on an old computer and it made sense to
see the response of the programs.
