Hi there,
I have been on the lynx development list for many years.
When the topic of JavaScript comes up, Thomas is clear that lynx will never incorporate JavaScript. Its one benefit of the Links port for DOS..JavaScript is a part of its compile.

Indeed Lynx is still under development.
I am asking, however, about links in this case.

Thanks,
Kare

Last I heard, Thomas E. Dickey either authored or took over the
project. Wikipedia Lynx Browser article probably has better facts
than I.

Mr. Dickey has an updated copyright of 2025 on the home page for Lynx
browser. Mr. Dickey also works on other programs related to the
terminal.

Last I known, is a friendly person and should probably Email him
directly your concerns or thoughts. Granted, we're all getting older
these days, and he's probably vacationing somewhere...

Hi Folks,
One of the many nifty tools I have added to my DOS only use thanks to this
list is the Dos port of Links.
Unfortunately no one has made an updated Dos port of the lynx browser,
incorporating some of its more up to date features. still the Links
build has enough JavaScript to be quite useful, at least for how I do
things personally on the Internet.
I may be wrong, but I believe the author abandoned this project?
Anyone else improve on his DOS port of this browser? How about other
browser efforts?

Thanks,
  Kare
