I can see my DNS records through the IPA Web Management: Network 
Services/DNS/DNS Zones/MyLocal.lan.

I also use the IPA Web Management to manually add the correct DNS A record for 
that IPA client.

How have you confirmed that? Are you saying that the entry disappears
from LDAP?
