We are on the way to switching from AD to IPA users. We observed that
the first SSH login of an IPA user to a server takes almost 30 seconds.
Every consecutive SSH login went blazingly fast (2 seconds at max).
Initially we suspected the cache on that server. But neither that
server's SSSD cache nor the SSSD cache on the corresponding IPA server
had any influence here.
We also tried to reboot that particular machine. Login was also around
one second. We tried SSH Pubkey auth and Kerberos auth. No difference.
So what could be the cause here? Any ideas? Where do we need to take a
closer look?
Cheers,
Ronald
