Alternatively you could use Apache HTTP frontend for authentication
per
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Apache+frontend+for+security
and use for example mod_authnz_pam configured with PAM service
that pam_sss.so / SSSD will handle.
