Hi Al,

support for it in the following beta, can you LMK if it works for you.

I got this error on "make install":

test -z "/usr/local/sbin" || mkdir -p -- "/usr/local/sbin"
/bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=install /usr/bin/install -c 'ipmi-pef-config' '/usr/local/sbin/ipmi-pef-config'
/usr/bin/install -c .libs/ipmi-pef-config /usr/local/sbin/ipmi-pef-config
make install-exec-hook
make[4]: Entering directory `/root/software/freeipmi/freeipmi-1.0.2.beta3/ipmi-pef-config/src' /root/software/freeipmi/freeipmi-1.0.2.beta3/config/install-sh -d -m 755 /usr/local/sbin
ln -s /usr/local/sbin/ipmi-pef-config /usr/local/sbin/pef-config
ln: creating symbolic link `/usr/local/sbin/pef-config': File exists

I then removed the existing symbolic link and ran "make install" again. Next error was about "/usr/local/sbin/ipmi-console". Therefore, I removed all symlinks in that dir. Installation went fine afterwards and all symlinks were created.

# ll /usr/local/sbin/ipmimonitoring
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 412 2011-02-18 12:08 /usr/local/sbin/ipmimonitoring

# /usr/local/sbin/ipmimonitoring -V
ipmi-sensors - 1.0.2.beta3

# /usr/local/sbin/ipmimonitoring
ID | Name | Type | State | Reading | Units | Event 74 | SD vFlash Status | Module/Board | N/A | N/A | N/A | 'OEM Event = 0000h'

Though, the state is still shown as "N/A".

So I can finalize documentation, what motherboard is this specifically?

This is a Dell PowerEdge R210 with an Intel Xeon X3430 Quad Core. If you need more info, please tell me where I can find that info.

Cheers
Lars
